Following the release of my debut album, Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me), the story unfolds further with Volume Two (I Miss You)—a deeply personal journey through longing, regret, healing, and the enduring power of love.
The album opens with the title track, “I Miss You,” which captures the aching void left behind after love slips away. The narrator reflects on sleepless nights and bittersweet memories, confessing that their affection has only grown stronger with time. Haunted by the past and consumed by longing, they contemplate the emotional toll of separation—and whether fate will ever allow for reconciliation, even if the other has already moved on.
The grief deepens in “Whispers of Memories,” a poetic tribute to a love lost to distance or death. The speaker sends quiet messages to the wind, butterflies, and birds, hoping their words might transcend realms and reach the one they still love. Despite the absence, the bond remains unbroken, as memories linger like sacred echoes of a connection that refuses to fade.
“You Mean More to Me Than I Let On” explores the pain of unspoken love. The speaker reveals their struggle with vulnerability, fearing that expressing affection too soon might drive the other away. Beneath the restraint lies deep devotion—a quiet, unwavering love masked by hesitation, yet yearning to be understood.
In “You Don’t Know How Hard It Was to Let You Go,” the speaker grapples with emotional trauma from past relationships. Despite genuine affection, their fear of vulnerability leads to withdrawal and regret. The poem reflects the inner conflict of wanting love but needing space to heal, and expresses a hope to reconnect—once they are whole again.
“You Don’t Realize How Perfect You Are to Me” is a heartfelt celebration of finding someone who feels like home. The speaker reflects on a serendipitous connection, painting a portrait of a partner whose beauty, kindness, and emotional presence bring peace and joy. It’s a tender reminder of how rare and transformative true love can be.
“I’m Waiting for a Sign from You” captures the quiet ache of unresolved love. Years after their last meeting, the speaker clings to cherished memories and wonders whether their feelings are still reciprocated. Despite the silence, they remain hopeful—watching for a sign that might reignite what once was.
“The Love of a Time Traveler” tells an epic, tragic tale of sacrifice and second chances. After losing their soulmate in a devastating accident, the narrator is granted a chance to change fate—but at a cost. To save the one they love, they must erase themselves from the timeline. As their beloved moves on, unaware of what was lost, the speaker is left with only memories—proof that even love that cannot last can still be worth everything.
In “Aún Te Amo,” love remains, even as parting becomes inevitable. Written as a heartfelt letter, the poem follows someone choosing to step away from a partner still healing from past wounds. With compassion and sorrow, they say goodbye—not out of a lack of love, but because timing and self-care matter. Set to a Latin-inspired bolero arrangement, the piece resonates with both beauty and heartbreak.
“I Wish I Could Share My Good News with You” reflects on the longing to share life’s milestones with someone who is no longer there. The speaker mourns the absence of a confidant—a friend, lover, or kindred spirit—whose laughter, guidance, and support are deeply missed. It’s a gentle ode to connection, memory, and the hope of one day reconnecting.
“Why Ghosting Hurts So Much” examines the emotional fallout of being abruptly cut off. Ghosting leaves behind confusion, self-doubt, and a painful lack of closure. The poem validates the hurt while encouraging self-worth, suggesting that silence often reflects the other’s emotional limitations—not the speaker’s inadequacy. Ultimately, it’s a message of healing, resilience, and choosing to move forward.
The album closes with “Second Chances,” a hopeful appeal to love that once was. It’s an invitation to reach out, to reconcile, and to believe that some connections are worth revisiting. Acknowledging the challenges of rebuilding, the poem embraces romantic ideals like fate, growth, and renewal—offering a tender reminder that sometimes, love deserves another try.
