I’m releasing a 60-second preview of “I’m Waiting For A Sign From You,” Track 5 from Winter Rhapsody Volume 2: Echoes of Medina, offering listeners an early glimpse ahead of the album’s full release on December 26.
Echoes of Medina is an all-instrumental album and my second project in this format, forming part of a six-album instrumental series that spans my entire music catalog. Much like the rest of the series, this record draws inspiration from Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Moroccan soundscapes—textures and rhythms that allow emotion to be conveyed without a single spoken word. The result is a musical world built entirely on mood, memory, and atmosphere.
“I’m Waiting For A Sign From You” is based on my poem of the same name—a piece rooted in longing, nostalgia, and the fragile thread of hope that remains even after years of silence. The poem tells the story of two souls connected by a love that never fully faded, even as time, distance, and circumstance pulled them apart. It reflects on a final meeting etched so vividly in the heart that it continues to echo long after the moment has passed.
In the poem, the speaker carries both the sweetness of cherished memories and the ache of unanswered questions. He remembers the joy of a confession of love, followed unexpectedly by a slow, painful distance. Through all the years that followed—the quiet, the wondering, the unspoken feelings—one truth remains unchanged: the love never left. And with it comes the lingering, almost whispered hope that someday a sign might arrive: a message, a smile, a familiar voice… something that could reopen the door they never wanted to close.
Within the album, this track occupies one of its most tender emotional spaces. It captures the sensation of waiting—not passively, but with a heart still tethered to what once was. The music becomes a language for longing: a steady pulse of remembrance, a soft descent into nostalgia, and an upward drift of hope that refuses to die.
The 60-second preview introduces listeners to that inner world. It mirrors the poem’s emotional arc—warmth, distance, heartache, and the faint light of possibility.
This preview is an invitation to reflect on the kind of connection that lingers long after parting, on the memories we revisit in solitude, and on the hope we hold onto even when we have no promise of its return. “I’m Waiting For A Sign From You” is, at its heart, about believing that some bonds are too deep to disappear completely—and that sometimes, all it takes is a single sign to bring two lives back into alignment.
The full version of “I’m Waiting For A Sign From You” will be available with the release of Winter Rhapsody Volume 2: Echoes of Medina on Friday, December 26. Until then, this early preview stands as a meditation on longing, connection, and the quiet strength of hope.
