I’m sharing a 60-second preview of Track 9, “A Love Proposition,” right now, ahead of the December 26 release of my upcoming album, Winter Rhapsody Volume 2: Echoes of Medina.
This album marks my second all-instrumental release, and it is part of a six-album instrumental series drawn from my entire music catalog. The project leans heavily into Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Moroccan musical influences, shaping the atmosphere and tonal landscape that runs throughout Echoes of Medina.
This preview offers a focused glimpse into one of the album’s most intimate moments—where poetry and music meet to pose a timeless question about love, beauty, and what we choose to give the world.
“A Love Proposition” is based on my poem of the same name, a piece that speaks directly and without ornament. It addresses beauty not as vanity, but as responsibility; desire not as conquest, but as consequence. The poem observes someone admired by many, untouched by commitment, and asks what becomes of beauty when it refuses connection. It’s a meditation on time, mortality, and the quiet ache of loneliness that even admiration cannot erase.
Within Winter Rhapsody Volume 2: Echoes of Medina, this track holds a reflective place. The album moves through memory, longing, and resonance—echoes that linger long after the moment has passed. Track 9 sits at that intersection where admiration turns inward and questions become unavoidable. The 60-second preview reveals the emotional temperature of the piece and hints at the larger arc it belongs to, without giving everything away.
This preview is an invitation: to listen closely, to sit with the music, and to consider the proposition at its heart. Love, the poem suggests, is not merely something we receive—it’s something we decide to allow, to protect, and to pass on. Beauty may turn heads, but only love endures.
The full track will be available with the release of Winter Rhapsody Volume 2: Echoes of Medina on Friday, December 26. Until then, this brief preview stands as a quiet moment of reflection—a window into a song that asks a simple, enduring question, and waits patiently for the answer.
