Some moments linger long after they’ve passed. Dancing Under The Moonlight tells the story of one such fleeting encounter—filled with longing, hesitation, and the silent electricity between two hearts too shy to meet eyes. It’s a tale of almost reaching out, almost connecting, and the hope of trying again beneath the glow of moonlight. The original track was released as Track 6 on my debut album, Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me).
This upcoming EP, releasing on October 3, is my attempt to capture that story through six different lenses, each mix reshaping the emotion while preserving its core.
Track 1 – Reimagined
This version strips the song down to its essence, breathing new life into it. It’s about looking at the same memory with fresh eyes—like returning to a familiar place and noticing details you’d missed before. This version stays true to the original’s beats and style, while offering a more refined sound and better production value overall.
Track 2 – Heartbeat Mix
The pulse of attraction is the heartbeat of this mix. With a steady dancefloor ready rhythm and driving energy, it captures that nervous rush when two people draw close, hearts racing, yet words remain unspoken.
Track 3 – Moonlight Mix
Here, I wanted to paint a dreamscape.The Moonlight Mix has an ethereal quality—soft and luminous, like a night where time stretches and you wish the moment could last forever, with beats that irresistibly move your feet. The closing segment, with its haunting echoes of ‘moonlight,’ is sure to stir your emotions.
Track 4 – Old World Mix
This mix leans into something timeless, as if you could hear it echoing in an Irish ballroom of a bygone era. It’s nostalgic, almost cinematic—like falling in love across centuries, accompanied by Celtic fiddle and haunting, lilting vocals.
Track 5 – Sentimental Mix
The most mainstream of them all. This pop ballad is stripped back, heartfelt, and intimate. It’s the sound of standing face to face with someone, hoping they’ll finally lift their eyes to meet yours.
Track 6 – Reimagined Extended
An extension of the Reimagined track.
Every mix tells the same story from a different emotional angle. Just as in life, where the same memory can feel tender, electric, dreamy, nostalgic, or deeply emotional depending on how you carry it with you.
