I’m thrilled to share the release of my new 2-track single, “I Lost Myself For A While”. This is a reimagined version of the original track from my debut album, Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me), released in January 2025. I felt that this song—and the album as a whole—could benefit from enhanced production, and I look forward to unveiling more updates in the near future.
The single features two distinct interpretations: a Reimagined Version and an EDM Mix Version. The song originates from a poem that explores the emotional turmoil of losing oneself within a relationship. It examines the pain of sacrificing personal identity, priorities, and friendships for love, and the resulting feelings of resentment and bitterness. The poem reflects on the dangers of seeking a partner’s approval at the expense of self-awareness, and the journey of recognizing these patterns to reclaim one’s sense of self before the relationship becomes destructive.
When I first shared this poem on social media—including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok—it drew more attention than my other works. Many responses were a surprised “Whoa!”, reflecting the vulnerability conveyed in the poem, as if readers assumed it came directly from my personal experience. While I always clarify that my poems are fictional—drawn from the experiences of others or inspired by films and stories—I’m always grateful when they resonate deeply with listeners.
This new 2-track single is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms. I invite listeners to share their thoughts or reflections in the comments—your connection to the music is what makes creating it worthwhile.
