Christopher Louie Reimagines “Prelude To A Dream” with New Music Video and Upcoming Multi-Genre EP
I’m proud to announce the official music video for Prelude To A Dream (Reimagined), a bold new interpretation of one of my most emotionally resonant tracks from my 2025 album Volume Five (Goodbye).
Originally released in May 2025, Prelude To A Dream established itself as a poignant exploration of longing, vulnerability, and unfulfilled affection. Now, in 2026, this song is revisited with a contemporary Pop-inspired makeover that introduces a faster tempo, stronger rhythmic elements, enhanced production, and a more modern sonic landscape while preserving the emotional depth that made the original version memorable.
The release of the music video serves as the first chapter in a larger creative project: the forthcoming six-track EP, Prelude To A Dream. The narrative draws inspiration from Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, particularly the tragic dynamic between Quasimodo and Esmeralda.
The speaker becomes captivated by someone whose beauty appears almost unattainable, yet also senses a hidden sadness beneath their enchanting exterior. While yearning to offer comfort and understanding, the speaker’s own feelings of inadequacy create an emotional barrier that seems impossible to overcome.
