I’m excited to share the official music video for “Prelude To A Dream (Hip-Hop Soul),” one of six unique interpretations featured on my newly released Prelude To A Dream EP.
The Hip-Hop Soul version blends smooth hip-hop rhythms with soulful melodies. My goal was to create a relaxed yet emotionally engaging interpretation that highlights both the storytelling and the atmosphere of the song.

Prelude To A Dream is inspired by my poem of the same name and explores themes of low self-esteem, unspoken love, longing, vulnerability, and self-doubt. Drawing inspiration from Quasimodo and Esmeralda in Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the narrator becomes captivated by someone he believes is forever beyond his reach. Although he senses sadness beneath her beauty and longs to ease her pain, his own insecurities convince him that love is unattainable, leaving him to admire her only from afar.
Creating the Prelude To A Dream EP gave me the opportunity to discover how different genres can transform the emotional character of the same song. Each version offers a new perspective while telling the same story in its own distinctive way, inviting listeners to experience the music through multiple emotional and stylistic lenses.
