If There’s A Chance To Reunite

Restless nights, a love you didn’t requite
had taken its toll on my sleep.
You decided one fateful night,
that what we had you didn’t want to keep.

You left me alone in this difficult plight,
with only memories for me to weep.
I might say things you took as slight,
I caused my own karma that I now reap.

I know you didn’t intend nor take delight,
in causing me pain, however steep.
You wouldn’t do things out of spite;
To retaliate, that would be cheap.

I wish you’d know this love is right,
cause I still love you way too deep.
I know what we had could still ignite,
what you once felt in bounds and heaps.

I know you left out of fright,
‘cause you thought you were in too deep.
If there’s a chance for us to reunite,
will you consider taking that leap?
