Today marks a milestone I’ve been anticipating since the earliest days of shaping my 6-track EP Why Do You Love Me?— the release of the official music video for its main title track, now live on my YouTube VEVO channel.
This song has always carried the emotional weight of the EP on its shoulders. It’s the anchor, the pulse, the central question everything else orbits around. And at its core, “Why Do You Love Me?” is intentionally crafted as a folk song first — simple, human, honest. I wanted its foundation to echo the kind of music people created long before technology advanced our tools: melodies born from lived experience, soft storytelling, and a rawness that leaves space for the listener to breathe. Layered on top is an ambient, atmospheric vibe, a modern texture that blends with that simplicity rather than replacing it. It bridges eras — a song built from the past, shaped gently by the present.
The video follows that same philosophy. It’s rich with atmosphere but never overly adorned. I designed it to mirror the emotional arc of the track — intimate yet cinematic. It unfolds like someone flipping through a memory album, where each scene feels both familiar and dreamlike. Soft lighting, shifting shadows, and textured imagery create a sense of suspended time, a place where you can sit with your emotions without interruption.
What mattered most to me was portraying the essence of the song without overwhelming it. The music is expressive on its own — the rise and fall of the melody, the tension in the harmonies, the pulse of the beat — and the visuals needed to complement that, not compete with it. Every frame was shaped to amplify that balance: tender, reflective, and quietly powerful.
Visually, the palette moves between warm and cool tones, echoing the themes woven throughout the EP. These transitions aren’t just aesthetic choices — they’re emotional cues meant to deepen the connection between the viewer and the story.

It’s a visual meditation on longing, connection, and the quiet, powerful currents inside every relationship.
