🎧 Teardrops EP — Out Now (Released July 20, 2025)
I’m excited to share the release of my new project, Teardrops EP, now available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, iTunes, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
This EP revisits “Teardrops,” originally featured on Volume Four (Broken), and includes six tracks: three previously released versions and three brand-new, never-before-heard EDM mixes. These new interpretations bring fresh energy to a deeply emotional piece.
“Teardrops” is a poem that explores the profound emotional impact certain people can have on our lives. It traces a journey from isolation to connection, joy, and ultimately heartbreak—capturing the highs and lows of love and loss. The shifting warmth and coldness in a relationship serve as a metaphor for emotional conflict, highlighting how even painful endings can offer powerful lessons in personal growth.
The poem also delves into the natural formation of rare stones—precious gems that emerge only after enduring intense cycles of extreme heat and freezing cold over time. This elemental process becomes a powerful metaphor for the emotional experience at the heart of the track. Just as those rare stones are shaped and transformed by pressure and contrast, so too is the speaker shaped by the unpredictable, hot-and-cold behavior of the one they once loved.
Their love interest’s emotional inconsistency—warm and affectionate one moment, distant and cold the next—creates a daily storm of heartache. From this turmoil, copious teardrops are born, falling silently and steadily each day. These tears are not loud or dramatic; they’re quiet and constant, like a grief that has become routine. They settle on the speaker’s face each morning like morning dew on the petals of a flower, delicate yet heavy with meaning, a visible trace of all that remains unspoken.
This poetic comparison not only emphasizes the emotional toll of a turbulent relationship but also suggests that beauty, depth, and resilience can emerge from emotional extremes—just as rare gems are born from pressure.
This poem holds special meaning to me. It was the first piece I ever posted on Instagram that gained traction—nearly 1,000 views in just a few days, which felt like a breakthrough when most of my earlier poems struggled to hit 50. I was brand new to social media and still finding my voice, so Teardrops marked an important milestone in my creative journey.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the EP. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know which version resonates with you most. Thank you for listening and supporting my work.
