I’m excited to share with you the music video for October Once More (Haunting Edit) — now streaming on my VEVO YouTube channel @ChristopherLouieVEVO
This version is a reboot of the original track, inspired by the poem that shares its name. The piece captures a deeply nostalgic feeling—an echo of a love that began one October in the quiet hum of a coffee lounge, a connection so raw and profound it shaped everything after. That connection, over time, shifted and fractured, ending abruptly a year later, leaving behind a trail of unresolved emotions and silence.
Now, as October comes around again, there’s this haunting weight of memories—a mix of longing, wonder, and a question that lingers: How is the one I lost?
The video’s intent is to capture the beauty of the Fall season, which is why almost every frame features autumn leaves falling gently in the background. These swirling leaves are more than just scenery — they represent the passage of time, the changing seasons of the heart, and the bittersweet nature of memory itself.
The “Haunting Edit” is the second track from the 3-track EP. It brings that emotional complexity to the surface through ethereal melodies and shadowy visuals that pull you into the bittersweet, restless heart of the story.
The video is a deliberate blend of dreamlike imagery and stark moments, designed to feel like walking through fading memories—sometimes warm, sometimes cold, always poignant. The music wraps around this, weaving a sonic tapestry that invites you to feel every pulse of nostalgia and every ache of incompletion.
Creating this reboot was a collaborative journey into atmosphere and emotion. It’s more than a song or a video; it’s a space where poetry, music, and visual storytelling collide, opening a window into a moment that’s as beautiful as it is haunting.
October Once More (Haunting Edit) is live now on my VEVO channel. The music video is also embedded on this page below.I hope it stirs something in you, something familiar yet hard to name—because that’s what October does to all of us.
