Love And Hate
I love you for the pillow talks
when we are alone at night,
and for the graceful way you walk,
each time you leave my sight.
I love the way you look at me
and how you kiss my face,
when you think no one can see,
when we’re in an empty place.
Sometimes love can turn to hate,
makes loving you hard to do;
like how you would make me wait
any time that I texted you.
I hate when you’re hot and cold;
makes me think you’ve something to hide.
I hate how you let things unfold,
when things between us collide.
I hate how distant you can be,
the silent treatment for days on end;
and how you wouldn’t side with me,
but listened to your toxic friends.
I hate how their poor advice,
influenced you to walk away;
I hate how you believed their lies,
instead of what I had to say.
I love and hate you still,
for what you did to my soul;
But even after all this spiel,
I love you too much to let go.
