Lost

I was lost, and probably still am,
and for a while I was on my own.
I thought I was cursed and condemned,
to live my life all alone.

But life is beautiful once again
through the love that you have shown.
I’m grateful that you are my friend;
A soul connection had been sown.

I almost drowned; for so long I swam.
You gave me wings, and I was flown;
You gave me hope, you were my land,
and now you are my safety zone.

You guided me, you were my lamp,
and I followed the light that you had shone.
I’m no longer lost nor in a jam;
You’ve led me out of the unknown.

You are my blessing to no end
the kindest friend that I’ve ever known
You are the reason that I can
finally make it on my own.

I was shown the way by your guiding hand
where hope for a future can be grown.
It is by you and your divine plan
that my life purpose is clearly shown.

And for that I understand
that life is too precious to bemoan.
I was once lost but now intend
to walk your path that takes me home.
