I Wish I Could Share My Good News With You
There’s so much I want to tell you,
but it’s been some time since you’ve been gone.
You were someone I opened up to;
We’d stay up talking until dawn.
I used to tell you about my day,
and you would offer me your advice.
It was your smiles at what I’d say,
and your laughter that made it nice.
I’d talk about anything with you;
Your opinions would always impress;
You’d counsel me on what to do,
and I’d value what you’d suggest.
It’s been long but I still feel you near.
I wish someday our fates will entwine.
So much to share if you were here;
You are always on my mind.
Now there’s not a soul that would care,
to ask about my daily grind.
I have so many good news to share,
if our paths ever realign.
