I’m excited to share that the official music video for “I Lost Myself For A While” is now live on YouTube. This release marks another visual chapter from my newly released full-length album, Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me) Reimagined—a project that takes some of my most emotional pieces and gives them new sonic and visual life.
“I Lost Myself For A While” is one of the album’s most introspective tracks. It follows the internal unraveling of someone who gradually bends their identity around another person. The narrator becomes so focused on keeping the relationship intact that their own needs, friendships, and individuality fall to the background. Their world shrinks in the name of devotion, even when that devotion comes at the cost of self-respect.
The new music video visually explores this emotional shift—the compromises, the quiet sacrifices, the longing for approval, and the slow realization that losing oneself can be more painful than losing someone else. Every scene is designed to reflect the imbalance at the heart of the narrative and the moment clarity finally begins to break through.
Reimagining this piece for the album gave me the chance to present the story with a deeper sense of atmosphere and emotional weight. The video brings that energy forward, giving the narrative a cinematic interpretation that I hope resonates with anyone who has ever given too much of themselves away.
This release is part of a larger vision behind Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me) Reimagined—a project dedicated to expanding these stories beyond audio, pairing them with visuals that intensify their emotional impact.
The video for “I Lost Myself For A While” is now available to watch, and I’m looking forward to sharing more visuals from the album in the coming weeks.
