A New Three-Track Chapter of I Know Your Words
Next Friday, March 6, I’m releasing a new three-track EP that expands the emotional world of I Know Your Words, a piece that originally appeared on my album Volume Three (A Promise Kept). This new project — I Know Your Words (EP) — revisits the story through three distinct versions:

The Story Behind the Words
The poem I Know Your Words reflects the tension between pursuing a dream and nurturing love. In it, the speaker is deeply focused on career — aware that their success often depends on external validation. Despite that pressure, an anonymous glowing review cuts through the noise. The phrasing, tone, and tenderness feel unmistakably familiar. Even without a signature, the speaker instantly recognizes the lover behind the words.
That recognition — the idea that someone who truly loves you will reveal themselves through the smallest details — sits at the center of the entire narrative.
A Cover That Visualizes a Life Divided
The EP’s cover art was designed to visually represent this emotional split. It shows the main male character standing between two worlds:
-
On the left, his work and career life is symbolized by the imagery of an office desk and an open laptop — reminders of ambition, duty, deadlines, and the constant need to prove oneself.
-
On the right, his romantic life is symbolized by a single red rose — a simple but powerful emblem of affection, longing, and the love that waits patiently for the right moment.
The contrast between these two sides mirrors the central struggle within the poem: the pull between responsibility and desire, and the uncertainty of how to honor both without losing either.
Loving Someone Enough to Let Them Grow
The emotional heart of the project lies in the understanding that love doesn’t disappear just because life demands distance. The speaker and their lover share the same feelings, but they also recognize the importance of timing and personal growth. Supporting each other means allowing space to pursue individual aspirations, trusting that when the moment is right, they can build something steady and lasting.
Revisiting the Original Story
These three new versions aren’t meant to replace the original track — they expand it. Each interpretation offers a different angle on the same truth:
If someone truly loves you, they’ll know you in ways no one else does — immediately, instinctively, down to the smallest detail.
Out March 6
The I Know Your Words EP arrives on all major streaming platforms on Friday, March 6. It’s a concise release, but it carries the full thematic weight of the poem — the push and pull of two worlds, the depth of emotional recognition, and the lingering hope that love will find its moment.
