A Year on Record: What 2025 Sounded Like According to Apple Music

by Chris Louie

At the end of every year, Apple Music releases Replay—a feature designed for artists to see how their music performed around the world. It isn’t about what I listened to; it’s about how my songs reached people, resonated, and traveled far beyond the studio. Apple Music Replay 2025 tells that story with clarity, offering insights into streams, locations, and standout tracks that shaped the year.

One of the biggest surprises came from the top-performed track of 2025: “I Look for You Everywhere” from my album Volume Three (A Promise Kept). I didn’t expect this song to top the charts, but seeing it emerge as the most streamed track highlighted how deeply it connected with listeners. It’s incredible to witness a song you poured yourself into finding its place in so many lives.

Discovery also played a key role this year. According to Shazam, the song that drew the most searches was “Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder (Reboot)”. That distinction captures the moment someone hears a song, is captivated, and wants to know more—a sign that the music is reaching ears in unexpected ways.

Apple Music Replay also offered a surprising geographic insight: Cheyenne, Wyoming was the top location for streams of my music in 2025. It’s a reminder that music doesn’t just exist in a vacuum—it finds its way into real lives, in real places, connecting with listeners across the country and beyond.

Together, these details form a portrait of the year. They show where the music landed, how it was discovered, and which songs carried the most weight over time. Apple Music Replay isn’t just numbers—it’s a reflection of connection, growth, and shared moments between artist and audience.

2025 was a year of music traveling, resonating, and finding its listeners. And seeing it all laid out in Apple Music Replay 2025 is both humbling and inspiring—a record of a year I’ll never forget.
