There are certain stories I return to again and again—stories that grow with me, shift with me, and reveal new truths each time. The Love Of The Sun and The Moon is one of them.
When I first released this track in early 2025 as part of my Volume Three (A Promise Kept) album, and later as the lead track of my 7-track EP around the same time, I believed I had captured the essence of the poem that inspired it. That poem—based on the Japanese legend of the sun and the moon, forever separated yet forever in love—has always felt connected to my own creative spirit. The contrast between the sun’s intensity and the moon’s quiet sensitivity has long mirrored the way love can feel both overwhelming and impossibly gentle at once.
But as the vision for the music video grew stronger and more cinematic in my mind, I realized the original version needed a new emotional magnitude. The story demanded a sound powerful enough to honor its scale—something more immersive, more atmospheric, more electric. A sonic world worthy of two celestial beings aching across the sky for one another.
That realization led to The Love Of The Sun and The Moon (Reimagined) — a brand-new 4-track EP centered on a bold reinterpretation of the original piece.
Full Track Listing
1. The Love Of The Sun and the Moon (Reimagined)
This reimagined version is carried by a sultry electric-guitar-driven landscape, layered with strong percussions and deep drum beats that echo like a cosmic pulse. It’s the audioscape required to bring the upcoming music video to life—rich enough to match the intensity of the story’s emotional arc.
To expand the universe of the song even further, the EP includes two dancefloor-ready transformations:
2. The Love Of The Sun and the Moon (Retro Dreamwave)
A shimmering, 80s-inspired synth-pop version that turns the celestial love story into a neon-soaked fantasy—romantic, nostalgic, and drenched in pastel starlight.
3. The Love Of The Sun and the Moon (EDM Mix)
A high-energy, techno-influenced reimagining built for motion, adrenaline, and late-night reverie. It’s the most exhilarating, rhythm-driven interpretation of this story I’ve ever created.
4. The Love Of The Sun and the Moon (EP Instrumental)
Rounding out the EP is a delicate and emotionally rich instrumental version. This final track is layered with piano, harp, flute, and string instruments, offering a serene and ethereal interpretation of the story. Without vocals or heavy percussion, it distills the essence of the legend into something intimate and reflective—like witnessing the sun and the moon reach for each other in quiet, celestial stillness.
At the heart of all four tracks remains the same legend that inspired my poem:
The sun, radiant and powerful.
The moon, gentle and ethereal.
Two lovers separated by time and space, yet bound by unwavering devotion. Their rare reunion during an eclipse is both divine and symbolic—a reminder that true love can transcend even the vastness of the cosmos. The lesson is timeless: with faith and determination, no love is impossible, and the Divine may answer those who love with sincerity.
This EP is more than a musical release—it’s a renewed exploration of a story that continues to evolve with me, expanding into new soundscapes while staying rooted in its eternal message.
I can’t wait for you to experience The Love Of The Sun and The Moon (Reimagined) and step into the world that inspired it. It’s scheduled for release today, January 15, so should be coming to your favorite streaming platform soon. Thank you, always, for taking this journey with me.
