A Promise Kept (Pledge) continues the journey of one of my personal favorite poems, “A Promise Kept”. Originally introduced as the lead track from the Volume Three album, “A Promise Kept” has become a meaningful part of my musical collection. “A Promise Kept (Pledge)” is one of three remake versions that revisit the same narrative while giving the story a distinct musical identity.
At its core, “A Promise Kept” is a winter love story about a first love that never completely disappears. The story follows a man searching for someone who once held a special place in his heart, only to discover that she has moved forward and created a new life with a family of her own.
