Volume Six (Evanescence): Sixth Full-Length Album Coming Soon.

by Christopher Louie

A new chapter in Christopher Louie Poetry’s evolving musical catalog arrives with Volume Six (Evanescence), an upcoming full-length album bringing together original songs and radically reworked compositions released as singles from the latter part of 2025 through the present. United by themes of love, memory, heartbreak, longing, deception, devotion, and emotional transformation, the album presents a collection designed to feel both familiar and newly rediscovered.

At the center of the album is “Evanescence,” a brand-new title track inspired by a poem originally shared on Instagram in December 2024. The poem explores the proverb “Beauty is skin deep,” contrasting the temporary nature of physical attraction with the enduring qualities that define genuine human worth.

“Evanescence” contemplates the strange tension between appearance and character. Its subject is presented through dreamlike imagery: someone whose beauty can be captivating, almost otherworldly, yet whose outward perfection cannot necessarily reveal what exists within. A beautiful face may attract attention, but it can also conceal a heart that remains distant, guarded, or incapable of giving the same depth of love and compassion that its appearance seems to promise.

The song ultimately turns away from superficial attraction and toward something more lasting. Physical beauty changes with time, while kindness, empathy, generosity, love, and compassion can leave an enduring impression long after appearances have faded. In that sense, “Evanescence” becomes less a celebration of beauty itself than a meditation on how fleeting beauty can be—and how profoundly different true beauty becomes when it originates from within.

The album presents “Evanescence” in four distinct forms, allowing its central theme to take on different emotional identities. The primary version establishes the song’s core statement, while the Dark House Mix introduces a darker, more atmospheric interpretation. The SynthPop Version shifts the song toward a sleek electronic aesthetic, and the Album Instrumental offers an ethereal interpretation that allows its melodies and atmosphere to stand independently of the vocal narrative.

Surrounding the title track is a broad collection of previously released singles and reworked songs, creating a full-length album that moves through multiple emotional landscapes. Together, the songs explore romance, heartbreak, memory, devotion, attraction, nostalgia, vulnerability, deception, and emotional transformation, while the various remixes and alternate versions expand the album’s sonic range.

Taken as a whole, Volume Six (Evanescence) is an album about what remains after the surface has disappeared. Its songs move between romance and regret, attraction and disillusionment, memory and detachment, devotion and vulnerability. Beneath those different subjects is a recurring question: what qualities endure when everything temporary eventually fades?

The answer is found not in appearances, possessions, fleeting attraction, or idealized images, but in the qualities that cannot be measured by the eye. Love, kindness, compassion, sincerity, and the ability to care for another person carry a permanence that physical beauty alone cannot provide.

With “Evanescence” serving as its central statement, the album transforms the idea of fading beauty into something broader: a reflection on memory, human connection, and the qualities that continue to matter when everything superficial has disappeared.

The full track list for Volume Six (Evanescence) will be made available as the release date approaches. Evanescence is slated to arrive on all major digital platforms soon, bringing together the complete collection of original songs, reworked compositions, remixes, alternate versions, and instrumental interpretations in one definitive full-length release.
