There’s something surreal about watching your own emotions transform into sound and light — to see a poem you once scribbled late at night become a living, breathing music video. Tonight, that dream becomes real. At 7PM PST / 10PM EST, I’m premiering the official music video for “Follow Your Heart (Digital Dream Mix)” exclusively on YouTube.
This song is born from my original poem, “Follow Your Heart.” It’s one of those pieces that revolves around a place of heartbreak and reflection, where love doesn’t always end with closure, but with echoes. I never imagined back then that these words would one day pulse through a digital beat and find new life as a cinematic experience.
The poem began with honesty and pain:
You said you never intend
to stop being my friend;
But you lied when you let our friendship end.
Those lines captured a moment of disillusionment — that realization when someone you trusted lets go before you’re ready. As the verses unfold, the message becomes one of forgiveness, resilience, and the courage to love again:
Follow your heart and not your head
if your feelings for me aren’t dead.
If you still love me, then you should trust what I said.
When I revisited the piece for my upcoming album, Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me) Reimagined (coming soon), I wanted to preserve the vulnerability of the original while exploring how technology and nostalgia intersect in modern love. That’s how the Digital Dream Mix was born — a reimagined soundscape blending raw, authentic lyrics and synth-driven sounds, where poetry meets pulse.
The music video captures this duality visually — part dream, part heartbreak, part rebirth. It’s a reflective journey through neon hues, surreal memories, and the quiet ache of what could have been. Every frame is meant to echo the poem’s plea: to trust love one more time (the heart), even when logic (the head) says to walk away.
Releasing this video ahead of the album is my way of setting the tone for what’s coming next. Volume One (I Left You Before You Could Leave Me) Reimagined will be available on all digital platforms next Friday, October 24, 2025. It’s not just a re-release — it’s a reawakening. Each track revisits an earlier poem or song of mine, reshaped through experience, heartbreak, and hope.
